From the supplier: The Architectural Department of Carnegie Mellon Univ bought a Mutoh America Mutoh F-920 Series pencil/pen plotter to facilitate the printing of computer-aided design (CAD) drawings made by architectural students. The highly regarded architectural program utilizes in-depth training and professional technologies, including AutoCAD CAD software on networked IBM PCs, Sun SPARCstations and Macintosh Quadra computers. The increasing volume of CAD drawings being output by students in the growing program resulted in the acquisition of the Mutoh F-920 plotter. The plotter's use of pencils provides a low cost-per-plot and at the initiation-year ownership expenses, saving the program substantial costs in consumables and operation. The ability of the plotter to automatically reload leads enables continuous plotting without having to restart at the beginning of the plot when one lead runs out.
